All throughout eastern Canada and the US you will find small farm gate stands where you drop off your coins and pick up your produce in return. While not as common in Alberta, we liked the simple farm gate experience. After 10 years, we have developed a good little system that has seen some good success. We will begin posting on social media what we are likely to have to harvest the following week. Any extras will be put in the roadside stand. For that reason sometimes we only will have a big volume of one or two items. Some weeks we may not be open if we've sold out through our u-pick or our online sales. We also try to only keep items that can withstand the summer heat, so for more perishable items please connect with us directly.
On the Honour System
Our stand is based on the honour system because we like the thought of trusting our neighbours. Our pricing is based on what you will find at other produce stands and in the super market. If you're looking to trade the produce in your garden for something at the stand, we ask that you come to the house or text Carlene at 780-729-3552 beforehand.
