Get an early start on harvesting your garden (in years to come) by planting this perennial crop. Asparagus will be one of the first vegetables ready in your garden and a well-tended plot should last for over 20 years. Generally the first harvest is 3 years from planting. We plant the crowns as soon as we get them to ensure they are off to a great start. For the 2020 year, we were only able to have access to the Millenium variety.
Millenium Asparagus - zone 3, high yielding, purple-tipped green spears, adaptable to a range of soils
Jersey Giant Asparagus - A male hybrid that is resistant to rust and tolerant of fusarium and crown rot. High yielding variety.
